For Willow Landscapes & Groundworks, building the WordPress website was only the beginning. I now work with Josh on my monthly Website Growth Plan, helping strengthen the business’s wider online presence through its website, Google Business Profile, customer reviews and regular project-based content.
A good business website shouldn’t just sit online looking nice. For Willow, the website has become part of a wider strategy to help the business build a stronger presence online.
I worked with Josh at Willow Landscapes & Groundworks on the business’s entire website, creating a professional WordPress site designed around the quality of the landscaping and groundworks work he already delivers.
Working with Josh was a pleasure because he had something every web designer loves to work with: a huge library of genuine photographs showing completed projects. Rather than relying on generic imagery, I could build the website around real examples of Willow’s work and let the quality of those projects do a lot of the talking.
Building Willow a professional WordPress website
The website needed to make it immediately clear what Willow does, present the business professionally and give potential customers somewhere useful to go after finding the company through Google, recommendations or social media.
I built the site in WordPress with a strong focus on Willow’s services, completed work and visual credibility. The finished website works across desktop and mobile and gives Josh a platform that can keep growing alongside the business rather than becoming a static online brochure.
Designed around the work Willow actually does.
The desktop and mobile versions put real landscaping and groundworks projects front and centre. Scroll through the desktop preview to explore the homepage.

Building the website was only the beginning.
Willow is now on my monthly Website Growth Plan. The point of the plan is that we don’t treat launch day as the end of the project. I continue working on the website and the wider digital presence of the business, using new projects, reviews and business updates to keep building on what we’ve already created.
Sorting out Willow’s Google Business Profile
The website wasn’t the only part of Willow’s online presence that needed attention. Josh had ended up with two separate Google Business Profiles, which meant the business’s presence on Google was fragmented rather than being presented as one clear, professional listing.
I helped consolidate those profiles into one Google Business Profile and worked on presenting Willow more professionally on Google Maps. That means customers searching locally are now seeing a much clearer representation of the business, its services and its reputation.
Willow is now appearing at the very top of the Google results we’re seeing for its key local searches without paid advertising, which is a fantastic position for a local landscaping and groundworks business to be in.
That’s exactly the kind of result I want the Website Growth Plan to support. The website is important, but potential customers don’t experience a business through one channel alone. They might discover Willow on Google Maps, look through reviews, visit the website and then browse completed projects before deciding to make contact.
Turning completed jobs into useful website content
One of the most valuable parts of Willow’s website is its case study area. Josh is constantly completing landscaping and groundworks projects, and he already takes plenty of photographs of the finished work. That gives us a steady stream of genuine material to turn into useful website content.
We’re aiming for roughly four new posts each month. Instead of creating filler articles for the sake of having a blog, the content can document real projects, show potential customers the type of work Willow carries out and steadily expand the amount of useful information on the website.
Willow’s case study area gives completed projects a permanent place on the website and creates fresh content we can continue building on each month.
Making customer reviews work harder
I also set up a review section so Willow’s Google reviews can be displayed on the website. When somebody arrives on the site after discovering the business elsewhere, they can see genuine feedback alongside examples of the work itself.
For a local service business, that combination is incredibly useful: professional web design, real project photography, visible customer feedback and a strong Google Business Profile all reinforce one another rather than existing separately.
Helping a local business grow its presence online
Willow is a good example of what I want Theo Ramwell Web Design to be about. I do a lot of WordPress web design, but my speciality isn’t simply putting websites online. I help businesses improve and grow their presence online, using the website as the foundation and then looking at the other areas that can strengthen it.
I’m based near Market Drayton and primarily work with businesses across Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire, although I also work with clients throughout the UK. For local businesses in particular, the combination of a professional website, Google Business Profile, reviews and regular content can create a much more complete online presence.
WordPress is a platform I work with regularly because it gives businesses like Willow the flexibility to keep adding services, projects and useful content as they grow. I’m open to different platforms and requirements where they’re the right fit, but the objective stays the same: build something that genuinely supports the business behind it.
Josh already had the skill, the completed projects and the photographs. My job was to turn those assets into a professional online presence and then keep building on it month after month.
