Simkin Associates needed a professional website for a new environmental consultancy. From an initial conversation and a coffee meeting, I took the client’s information, services and photography and turned them into a complete business website ready to represent the company online.
A website project that started at the play park.
This project actually began through a completely normal local conversation. Bo and I were taking our children to the same play park, got chatting, and the conversation eventually turned to work. I mentioned that I build websites, while Bo explained that he was starting Simkin Associates as an environmental consultant.
It sounded like a brilliant business to be building, and one I was genuinely interested in helping bring online. From there, we arranged to meet properly over a coffee so I could understand what he wanted the website to do, how he wanted the business presented and what information needed to be included.

Bo already knew exactly what Simkin Associates needed to communicate. He provided the business information, the content and the photography, giving me the raw material I needed to understand the company and its services.
My job was to take all of that and run with it. I built the pages the business needed, worked the supplied content into a clear website structure and developed the design around the direction we’d discussed over coffee. Rather than asking the client to work out how a website should be put together, I could concentrate on translating what he knew about his business into something professional online.
