Websites I’ve built for real businesses.
Every business is different, so every website should be different too. Theo Ramwell Web Design creates websites around the individual business, its customers and what the website actually needs to achieve.

Willow Landscapes & Groundworks.
Willow needed more than somewhere to list its services. The website needed to properly represent the quality of the work, build confidence with potential customers and give the business an online presence that could continue to grow.
Willow is a Website Growth Plan client, so the work doesn’t stop at launch. I continue to manage the website, publish new project content and help build its online presence as the business grows.
Custom website design · WordPress · Responsive design · Ongoing content
View Live WebsiteLandscaping & Groundworks
A growing landscaping and groundworks business with strong real-world projects and plenty of work worth showing.
Build more than a static website.
Willow needed a professional website, but ongoing content was key to the strategy. Real projects could become detailed case studies, continually expanding the website with useful, locally relevant content designed to perform in natural search.
A growing natural search presence.
Willow’s growing library of project content has helped establish a strong natural search presence, turning completed jobs into useful content that continues working for the business after the project itself is finished.
The growth machine behind Willow.
The website doesn’t stop growing once it launches. Willow’s completed projects become useful, permanent content that demonstrates experience while building an increasingly valuable natural search presence.
Finished projects shouldn’t disappear into a camera roll.
Willow already does the difficult part: producing work worth showing. Photos and information from completed jobs can become detailed case studies that demonstrate experience, target relevant searches and give potential customers more reasons to trust the business.
Willow is already seeing the benefit in natural search. Each new project gives the website another useful piece of content, helping build a growing library of real work that potential customers can discover through search.
Does your website need a refresh?
A website doesn’t always need replacing from scratch. Discovering York already had the foundations, the content and an established audience. The job was to rethink how it looked, felt and performed without losing what made the website useful in the first place.
The same website, completely rethought.
The refresh gave Discovering York a much stronger visual identity built around the character of York, while improving the experience on mobile and substantially improving website performance.
“The website looks bloody amazing, couldn’t believe it when I saw it!”
This website started with a conversation at the pub.
Sometimes the best projects start completely by chance.
I met Bo from Simkin Associates at the pub while we were both taking our children to the play area. We got talking, he asked what I did, and I explained that I build websites and help businesses strengthen their online presence.
Bo understood the value of having a website that properly represented the professionalism of his environmental consultancy. That chance conversation turned into a new website for Simkin Associates.
You know your business. I know websites. The best results happen when we bring those two things together.
“Definitely recommend Theo for your website production – from conception to delivery was less than a week. He’s a pleasure to work with, was great a great collaborator and produced a website that exceeded my original vision.”
Built for content. Built for scale.
Gaming Hero is a content-heavy World of Warcraft website built around search, YouTube and a paid membership. With hundreds of detailed guides attracting players to the site, strong SEO, clear content architecture and fast performance were absolutely vital.
300+ guides without building a website that feels like it.
Gaming Hero has grown into a substantial library of World of Warcraft gold-making content, with players arriving through YouTube, natural search and the wider Gaming Hero brand.
The challenge was making hundreds of articles easy to discover while building the authority needed to compete in a highly competitive search niche, all without allowing the size of the website to compromise the experience.
More content means more pages, images, categories and data for the website to handle. Gaming Hero needed to remain fast, organised and easy to navigate as the content library grew, while also supporting its paid membership and ongoing publishing strategy.
Gaming Hero brings together hundreds of articles, search-focused content, YouTube traffic and a paid membership within one fast, structured website built to keep growing.
There’s more.
The projects above tell some of the bigger stories, but they’re not the only websites I’ve worked on. Different businesses need different websites, and that’s part of what makes the work interesting.
Decor Journal
A content-led website built around interiors, home design and an expanding library of editorial content.
